From one boy bander to another, Lance Bass has some words of wisdom for One Direction’s main man, Harry Styles. HollywoodLife.com spoke to the former *NSYNC star EXCLUSIVELY about why he think’s it’s a bad idea for the 1D star to abandon the band.
Who better for Harry Styles, 21, to hear it from than Lance Bass, 36?! Lance conquered the world as part of one of the most successful boy bands ever, so he knows a thing or two about what Harry’s going through as a member of One Direction. Lance opened up EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com about what he thinks of Mr. Styles’ potential exit from the group.
Lance Bass On Harry Styles Quitting One Direction: Stay Put For Your Fans
It’s a piece of advice that Harry might not want to hear, but if he plans to go solo, Lance is asking the “Story Of My Life” singer to stay with Niall Horan, 21, Liam Payne, 21 and Louis Tomlinson, 23, for at least one more One Direction LP.
“You know what? If Harry wants to go solo, go solo eventually,” Lance told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY at GMCLA’s 4th Annual Voice Awards in L.A. “But for the fans, I would say that Harry should stick it out for a little bit, not leave and at least do another album together. Harry needs to do it for the fans! I think he owes it to them.”
We totes agree with our man, Lance. Harry, are you listening?! While the Dirty Pop with Lance Bass radio host thinks Harry should remain with 1D, he has nothing but well wishes for the band’s first escapee: Zayn Malik.
“I’m happy that Zayn left One Direction because obviously that’s what he wanted to do,” Lance admitted. “And you’ve got to follow your heart and sometimes groups aren’t meant for people and he had a good run and I wish him all the success for his solo career. But I think Harry’s meant for the group.”
We totally second that last part, Sir Bass!
The first time Directioners were forced to face the scary thought of the band sans Harry was when the director of the boys’ documentary One Direction: This Is Us made a harrowing prediction on April 20!
“I think at some point, Harry will probably leave. He’ll probably be next,” Morgan Spurlock, 44, explained when TMZ caught up with him recently. “I think they’ll stay together for a little while. I think that Niall, Louis, and, uh, I think the three of those guys are going to become like the new Bell Biv Devoe.”
No mention of Harry, though. A literal nightmare!
