What a quick and speedy delivery of the new Princess of Cambridge! Kate went into labor in the very early hours of May 2 and arrived at St Mary’s Hospital around 6.00 a.m. with Prince William. Then just two and a half hours later, Kate delivered her first daughter who weighed a healthy 8lb 3oz, according to Us Weekly.

She was also in the trusted care of two midwives, Arona Ahmed and her boss, Professor of Midwifery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Jacqui Dunkley-Bent, according to the Daily Mail.

Kate had bonded with the two midwives during the birth of Prince George, and she wanted these two ladies back for a second round, according to Us. Well, they obviously are the right ladies for the job!

Can we all just keep in mind that not only did Kate not need an epidural, but she also stepped out the hospital doors in a little under 11 hours after giving birth, looking amazing! Yes, hands down the award for super human mother powers go to this stunning mother-of-two. She was obviously heavily exhausted, so her and William both opted to not talk to the press.

“It was Prince William’s decision not to talk to reporters waiting outside St. Mary’s hospital,” a royal insider tells HollywoodLife.com. “He and Kate aren’t exactly fans of speaking in public. William realized that Kate had been through such an exhausting day, and he wanted to protect her. It was a considerate move by the Prince who also felt that offering the press a picture of baby George was sufficient enough.”
