Stop everything and come admire Kate Middleton’s post-baby blowout. Just hours after giving birth to a little princess on May 2, Kate stepped out of London’s St. Mary’s Hospital looking more beautiful than ever. Get the details on her look, and meet the glam squad who got her looking picture perfect.
The moment everyone was waiting for finally arrived on May 2 when Kate Middleton, 33, and Prince William, 32, welcomed their baby girl, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Just hours later, Kate gave us even more to ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ over when she left the hospital with glowing skin and a glossy blowout. So who got Kate looking that good mere hours after giving birth? Much like Cinderella, Kate had a team of helpers to get her ready for the press and photographers awaiting her outside the hospital. But instead of singing mice, the Duchess had some help from her personal assistant, hairstylist and manicurist.
Kate Middleton’s Post-Birth Glam Squad: Meet The Team
Kate’s PA Natasha Archer, who helped style Kate in the now-famous light blue Jenny Packham dress she wore leaving the hospital with Prince George, made sure the Duchess’s yellow and white floral print Jenny Packham dress and nude Jimmy Choo pumps (yes, she wore heels!) were spotless. To get her hair looking red carpet ready less than 12 hours after giving birth, Kate’s go-to stylist Amanda Cook Tucker slipped into the Lindo wing at the hospital with a bag full of rollers, curling wands and hair products. Amanda, who was responsible for Kate’s straighter blowout after giving birth to Prince George, opted for a more styled look with voluminous waves.
To get her hair in tip top shape, Kate’s trusted hairstylist was at the hospital to get to work before the new princess’ grandparents had even arrived! While post-baby hair tends to look dull, Kate’s looked impossibly healthy with the help, no doubt, of a volumizing product like Philip Kingsley Maximizer and Philip Kingsley Preen Cream to hydrate locks and add a smooth shine.
The Secret Stylists Behind Kate’s Post-Baby Beauty
It’s rumored that the Duchess did her own makeup, using one of her favorite products, Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder, to give her a radiant glow. To finish her post-baby beauty look, manicurist Marina Sandoval kept Kate’s nails in a classic square shape, with a neutral shade.
