Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian turned heads at the 2015 Met Gala, where they both wore super sheer dresses you have to see to believe. Check out the details on their looks, and let us know which diva you think was the belle of the (Met) ball.
Kim Kardashian, 34, is known for flaunting her assets, so it’s no surprise when the KUWTK star walked the Met Gala red carpet in a curve-hugging, sheer paneled number designed by Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli. But who better to challenge Kim than the Bootylicious babe herself, Beyoncé, 33, who stunned in a skin-tight sheer Givenchy dress of her own!
Beyoncé & Kim Kardashian Met Gala Sheer Dresses — Who Wore It Better
Both Beyoncé and Kim boasted a custom made gown with embellished details over sheer paneling. They also donned slicked back ponytails, so as not to hide an inch of their gorgeous dresses. And while Kim took to the red carpet with her skin-baring ensemble first, Beyoncé’s brightly bejeweled number couldn’t be overlooked.
Beyoncé & Kim K Sheer Dress Showdown
In a style switch up, Beyoncé wore Kim K’s designer of choice, Givenchy (the fashion house behind her infamous floral frock at the 2013 Met Gala). Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci also created Queen Bey’s sheer, nude dress with strategically placed jewels. The singer finished her look with a slicked back, curly ponytail, rosy pink lip and striking cat eye.
Meanwhile, Kim went with Roberto Cavalli, marking the first time she’s worn the designer to a major event. Her nude gown was embroidered with white crystals, sequins and beads, and trimmed with ivory ostrich feathers along the train. To complete her sexy look, Kim styled her hair in a straight, gelled back ponytail with a soft smokey eye and simple nude lip.
So, who do you think worked the sheer paneling look best, HollywoodLifers? Does Beyoncé keep the title of queen, or is Kim edging her out?
