‘Friends’ fans, get ready to crack up. Matt LeBlanc, AKA Joey Tribiani, just revealed that he still knows every word to the two famous ‘Friends’ songs — the Hand-Twin song from season five and the ‘Freud’ ditty from season one! And yes, he sang them again.
This video may just have made your Friday a little bit better. It’s been 21 years since the episode aired, but Matt LeBlanc knew just how to sing the Freud! musical number he did in “The One With The Butt.” While on The Graham Norton Show on May 1, the actor totally belted out the song, in that accent, before also singing the hand-twin song. Yup, it was epic.
Matt LeBlanc Sings ‘Friends’ Hand-Twin Song
“Do you remember any of the songs?” Graham asks Matt, who laughs and says “Unfortunately I do.” With that, he totally sings the “all you want is a dinkle” verses from season one, episode six!
However, the second song may be more well known. Graham brings up an episode where there’s singing in a casino — and Matt absolutely cracks up when he realizes he’s talking about the hand twin song. I could explain this, but I’m pretty sure it’s better to just watch. Fun fact — that hand twin is played by Thomas Lennon, who now plays opposite of Chandler Bing, Matthew Perry. Small world.
New ‘Friends’ Fans Think Matt Isn’t Joey
Another weird fact, which will probably remind you of your own age, is when Matt revealed that people don’t exactly recognize him as Joey.
“[Friends is] always on somewhere so there is a new crop of teenagers finding it for the first time,” he said. “They say, ‘What’s with the grey hair? Are you Joey’s dad?’”
How dare they?! Matt aged very well, I might add since he can totally nail the silver fox thing. What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you remember every word? Let us know, and in the meantime, relive the original hand-twin scene here:
