Kylie and Kendall Jenner have been highly supportive of Bruce Jenner and his transition as of late. However, it wasn’t easy for them to get to that point, as the Jenner sisters struggled to adjust to Bruce’s change, according to a new report.
From their public support of Bruce Jenner, 56, you would think that his two daughters — Kendall Jenner, 19 and her 17-year old sister, Kylie Jenner — were perfectly okay with his transition from the get-go. Unfortunately it wasn’t always like that! Bruce’s change brought a lot of turmoil for his two youngest daughters, according to a new report.
Kendall Jenner & Kylie Jenner: Bruce Jenner’s Transition ‘Hard’ For Them
“The whole transition was much harder for the Kardashian kids and Kylie and Kendall,” a source reports in the May 11 issue of People magazine. “It was hard to grasp. And there was a lot of lying to the kids over the years on Bruce’s part, even as close as they were. It’s going to take some time for the kids to get used to it all.”
Though 17 million tuned into Bruce Jenner’s 20/20 interview on April 24, he reportedly broke the news of his transition to his family back on Jan.19. Their father’s changes were hard for the young women to take, at first. Both Kendall and Kylie needed support in order to come to terms with what Bruce was going through. Kylie was particularly overwhelmed with what the changes meant and nervous over all the surgeries her father will undertake.
Thankfully, it seems Kylie and Kendall are taking the first steps to work through their feelings and show their support for their father. Kylie has said she’s excited to take a family portrait with Bruce after he fully transitions into a woman!
Bruce seems to be embracing more and more of his true self, especially after his 20/20 interview. He’s even reportedly hosting “girl parties” at his home, presenting himself as a woman to friends, according to the People report. “He’s doing it in stages, but more and more, and certainly in private, Bruce is living as a woman,” a family source told the magazine.
