‘Scream Queens’: Prepare Yourself For ‘Lots Of Sex’ & ‘Coven-Like Girl Power’

Basically, we’re counting down the days until ‘Scream Queens’ comes out. Until then, we’ll have to deal with the very brief teasers we’re getting from Emma Roberts and Ryan Murphy — about sex, of course.

When Ryan Murphy pitched Scream Queens to Emma Roberts, he described it as “Heathers meets Halloween.” So, it’s no surprise that she jumped at the chance to be the lead, Chanel, the president of Kappa Sorority. So how will this compare to AHS? Well don’t expect many similarities.

‘Scream Queens’ Spoiler: Get Ready For Girl Power

“I had just come off doing American Horror Story: Coven, which was my favorite season of the show and so fun to be a part of. Scream Queens definitely has a little bit of that Coven girl-power vibe which I love and a lot of the humor that Coven had,” Emma told Entertainment Weekly in a new interview.

The part was “written for her,” as Ryan Murphy says, and we’ll get to see her character really take over the school. “[Chanel]’s very funny and very ruthless. All her life all she’s wanted to do is be president of Kappa and have this great boyfriend and rule the roost. She’s very fashionable and very ruthless.”

Meanwhile, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, and Ariana Grande are all her “henchwomen,” as Ryan puts it. Of course Emma prefers to call them “minions.” SO cute!

Sex & Death Coming . . . A Lot Of It

But let’s get to the jucicy stuff. We know that Emma’s character will be dating the gorgeous Glen Powell, and he will be a member of a golfing fraternity, the Dollar Scholars, with none else than Nick Jonas.

“There’s countless love triangles and lots of sex,” Ryan added. “Nick is very funny because he’s completely playing against type. The thing I will say about the Nick character is he’s not who he seems to be. Nick has a dark side, which comes out in the episodes.”

Wait, maybe he’ll be the killer then? Well, Emma doesn’t even know yet. She even said that they only shot two episodes and she couldn’t wait to get her hands on the third week’s script.

“One thing we’ve said to the cast is that every episode someone is going. It’s always somebody you least suspect or expect,” Ryan added. “There’s a real tune-in factor because it’s like, Who’s going to be picked off this week? And also who is the killer? Every episode, you get clues as to who the killer is going to be and then all of these clues accumulate.”

Alright, is it time for this show yet OR WHAT?
