She’s back! After having been eliminated in a previous episode, Patti LaBelle returned to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to sing one of her classic songs– and she might have made viewers regret voting her off!
That’s how you make a triumphant return. After getting voted off of Dancing with the Stars on the April 20 episode, legendary diva Patti LaBelle didn’t stay away for long. Actually, just one week later on April 28, she stepped back onto the stage, to celebrate the hit series’ 10th anniversary! This time, however, Patti swapped her dancing shoes for a microphone to sing her famous son “Lady Marmalade,” and she got some added help from a few very special guests!
‘DWTS’: Patti LaBelle Performance
Show ’em how it’s done, Patti!
The iconic songstress stepped back onto the Dancing stage as part of the series’ 10th anniversary special. Joining her for a rendition of her signature song, “Lady Marmalade,” Patti got some assistance from Lil’ Kim and Amber Riley!
They all sang their hearts out and had a blast on that stage — so fun!
All three powerhouse ladies got into the theme of the performance wearing, obviously, all black ensembles. The three got down in front of a moody pink backdrop, complete with glowing hearts.
A ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Milestone
Both Kim and Amber were fitting accompanists to Patti, as they both appeared on Dancing at different points. Lil’ Kim made it to week 9 during the show’s 8th season back in 2009, while Amber took home the whole dang thing alongside partner Derek Hough in season 17 in 2013.
Kim and Amber weren’t the only Dancing alum to appear on the anniversary special. The star-studded event also featured returns by Katherine Jenkins, Chelsea Kane, Kristi Yamaguchi, Amy Purdy, Maria Menounos, Melissa Rycroft, Kelly Monaco and a ton of others.
What did you think of Patti’s performance? Are you sad she’s no longer in the running this season?
