Another epic ‘Lip Sync Battle’ performance to brighten your day! This time serving up the sass? None other than Michael Strahan!
Get it, Michael Strahan! The Live with Kelly & Michael host might not want to permanently quit his day job to become a professional lip syncher, but he definitely brings the LOLs during his outing on Lip Synch Battle. On the April 30 episode, the former NFL star will take on the classic Bell Biv DeVoe cut, “Poison,” and it is clear that Michael is feeling the song. Check out his hilarious performance!
‘Lip Sync Battle’: Michael Strahan Sings ‘Poison’
On the upcoming episode of Lip Sync Battle, Michael steps away from his talk show hosting gig for a notably more agile activity. Specifically, he’s taking on the classic 90s hit “Poison,” and he’s whipping out his very best moves.
Clad in a totally Fresh Prince-esque, 90s patchwork coat, Michael first takes the stage solo and, we must say, those hip thrusts are…impressive.
Michael’s Special Guest Stars
The performance gets way, way better from there. As we arrive at the iconic chorus (you know the words: “it’s driving me out of my mind”), Michael is joined by three backup dancers who kick things into high gear. But wait a second! Could it be? It is!
Those three backup dancers are none other then the original singers themselves: all three members of Bell Biv DeVoe! From there, the epic foursome goes ahead and reenacts some of the original music video’s choreography from all those years ago. Specifically, that finger pointing audience sweep on the word “poison.” Amazing.
Michael will go up against fellow daytime talkshow personality, Today Show host Hoda Kotb, on Lip Sync Battle and, after seeing just a sneak peek of Michael’s performance, we say to her a big fat good luck!
What do you think of Michael’s performance?
