Kim goes for a daring beauty look with deep side-parted, wet hair at the ‘Variety” 2nd annual Power Of Women luncheon on April 24. While being honored at the event, Kim took a major beauty risk…but did the ‘KUWTK’ star nail it or fail it? Let us know in the comments below.

Kim Kardashian, 34, attended Variety‘s Power Of Women luncheon in NYC on April 24 with a high-fashion beauty look and an all-white ensemble. The reality TV star posed for pictures before the luncheon held at Cipriani, where she was honored for her philanthropic efforts alongside Glenn Close, Lena Dunham, Whoopi Goldberg and Rachel Weisz.

We’re used to seeing Kim’s name in the news, but it was nice to see her being featured for something so meaningful. Variety chose Kim as an honoree for her work with the Children’s Hospital LA, where she often visits with sick children and their families. Kim told Variety working with Children’s Hospital LA is especially meaningful because “My father passed away from cancer.” Kim went on to say, “I remember what it was like when my dad was going through it. You want to do anything to help them.”

While the event focused on its honorees’ philanthropic efforts, we couldn’t help but zero in on Kim’s beauty look as well. We loved the sophisticated vibe Kim’s sleek wet hair lent her look, a style she’s been gravitating towards lately, most recently while out with Kanye on April 22.

For her makeup, Kim kept her bronzer on the lighter side, opting for a shimmery illuminator to highlight and sculpt. She also paired her oversized lashes with lighter shades of brown shadow and liner for a more daytime-friendly look, finished with a nude gloss like Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Undressed.

What did you think of Kim’s bold beauty look? Would you give the slicked back hair a try, or is it best left for the runway?
