Bruce Jenner Emotional In New ’20/20′ Interview Clip — Watch
The new promo stats off by showing Bruce greeting his interviewer, immediately making her aware that, “It’s going to be an emotional roller coaster, but somehow I’m going to get through it.”
While we’ve been talking about Bruce’s gender transition for months, this is the first time we’ve really seen him get emotional about the subject, as he seems close to tears while welcoming Diane into his home. We’ve been waiting to know exactly what’s going on for so long now, that it’s been easy to forget he’s a real person going through a major life change on a very public platform, so the moment is incredibly endearing to watch.
Next, an ABC voiceover, once again, assures us that we’ll hear Bruce discuss family, the journey, the decisions and the future, and the preview ends with him, glassy-eyed, admitting, “I want to know how this story ends, you know? How does my story end?”
Another hard-hitting moment, as the Olympian makes it clear to viewers that there’s still a whole lot he doesn’t even know when it comes to this whole situation.
We are still so proud of Bruce for being brave enough to discuss this time in his life so publicly, and can’t wait to hear his side of the story when the interview airs on April 24 on ABC.
We’ll likely find out on Friday whether or not Bruce will start living as a woman full-time, but for now, he’s already taken the step in doing so in the privacy of his home, as HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reported.
“He wears women’s clothing all the time when he’s home — he’s very comfortable in it because it’s who he is. And all of his mannerisms are female,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s also begun applying make up to his face and is on a very strict diet so he can have a nice figure.”
HollywoodLifers, are you planning to tune in for Bruce’s interview? What are you most hoping to learn from it?
