Superman On ‘The Flash’ Season 2 — Tom Welling To Reprise ‘Smallville’ Role

Greg Berlanti told reports during a CW event that SUPERMAN may appear in season 2 of The Flash,” a source (Reddit user named Comic Central City) told DC Comics Movie. The user went on to say, “Now, from what I gather, this Superman is going to be played by Tom Welling and his Superman may or may not be tied to Smallville but I think that at the end season 1 would introduce an alternate timeline where Superman exists and Caitlin and Cisco are metahumans.”

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time the two characters have crossed paths. The Justice League, which included The Flash, was introduced on Smallville during its 10 season run. The Flash was actually one of the first superheros to appear on Smallville. So if this happens, they likely won’t be meeting for the first time on The Flash. Instead, they’d be old friends.

Perhaps this alleged “crossover” will also open the door for other Smallville characters, like Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack), to appear on the new CW series. Wouldn’t that be awesome?!

Unfortunately, a rep for The Flash tells HollywoodLife.com that the report is “not true.”
