Lindsay Lohan may want to start doing a little more research before posting on Instagram! The actress made a pretty embarrassing mistake while trying to share an inspirational message with fans on April 21.
According to Instagram, Lindsay Lohan, 28, thinks all her followers are donkeys! At least, that’s the message she sent them in a post written in Arabic on April 21. Clearly, someone didn’t check up on her translations before sharing the photo!
Lindsay Lohan’s Embarrassing Mistake: Her Arabic Translation Mess-Up
Oh, Lindsay, what are we going to do with you?! The 28-year-old actress was just trying to make her followers smile by sharing an inspirational message on Instagram, but by also including an Arabic translation of the message, she didn’t exactly send a compliment.
In the since-deleted post, LiLo uploaded a photo of the phrase ‘You’re beautiful,’ but the added Arabic translation instead read, ‘You’re a donkey.’
Commenters began pointing out the error quickly, and Lindsay eventually removed the post from her page. It was a nice effort, at least!
Unfortunately, this is far from the first time Lindsay has been criticized over a social media post. Most recently, on March 11, she came under fire for including the N-word in an Instagram photo of Kanye West, 37.
Lindsay was using a specific quote from a Yeezy song, but fans immediately lashed out at her for using the derogatory word in such a careless manner. Once the backlash started flooding in, Lindsay was quick to (you guessed it) delete the pic.
Let’s not forget the more than one occasion that the Mean Girls star has been criticized for her photo shopping fails. Eek.
Since she was just a pre-teen, Lindsay has been under intense scrutiny — maybe it’s time we cut the girl a break! The donkey thing was totally just an honest mistake, right?!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Lindsay’s translation mix-up?
