Blake Lively wore four prom-approved hairstyles in one day during NYC press appearances for her new film, ‘The Age Of Adaline.’ From retro waves to a textured updo, Blake’s latest hairstyles suit any prom taste.
If Hollywood hosted a hair Olympics, Blake Lively, 27, proved she would take gold when she styled her glossy, blonde hair into 10 different styles for her April 21 press appearances for her new movie, The Age Of Adaline. While all of Blake’s hairstyles were gorgeous (naturally), we’re taking a closer look at four, which we think are perfect for prom season.
Blake Lively’s Prom Hair — Inspiring Styles From The Star
Blake’s first pretty-for-prom hairstyle while leaving the Good Morning America studios was a wavy ponytail with a center half-part. Her low ponytail option is easy to recreate, and is the perfect way to tone down a printed or brightly colored prom dress.
For her next appearance, on Live With Kelly & Michael, Blake completely switched gears with retro waves and a classic red lip. To copy her look, create a deep side part on hair that’s been prepped with mousse and blown completely dry.
Use a one and a half-inch curling iron and curl one-inch sections of your hair all the way to the ends. Once the curls have cooled, loosen them with your fingers and spray with a workable hairspray like Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray. Take the section at the front of the hair, and roll it away from the face, securing with bobby pins by your ear.
Blake Lively Shows Off Hair Ideas Perfect For Prom
For her Sirius XM appearance, Blake wore a slightly undone topknot that’s perfect for showcasing some major earrings or a statement necklace. Get a similar look by sprinkling Bumble and Bumble Pret A Powder onto dry hair and gently working through. Loosely pull your hair back into a ponytail at the center of your head, and twist into a knot, anchoring it in place with bobby pins. Be sure not to make the ponytail or knot too perfect, as the textured look gives the style a more modern vibe.
Our last of Blake’s looks that we want to copy for prom came towards the end of her marathon press day, when she wore her hair in a half-up, half-down style. Blake’s hair was silky and smooth, and the half pulled back look is the perfect opportunity to accessorize with a sparkling barrette like the Jennifer Behr Adeline Hair Clip.
