Drama ahead! Following their totally awkward feud on ‘American Idol,’ have Harry Connick Jr. and contestant Quentin Alexander put their tension behind them?

On the April 15 episode of American IdolJoey Cook was eliminated, but the moment that everyone was talking about involved a different constant. Quentin Alexander, 21, actually got into a super awkward altercation with judge Harry Conick Jr., 47, following some comments Quentin made about the competition, which Harry interpreted to be “disrespectful.” With the top 6 preparing to take the stage on the April 22 episode, can we expect the two to play nice, or are the claws still out?

‘American Idol’: Is Quentin Alexander & Harry Connick Jr.’s Feud Still On?

If you’re anything like us, you’re still cringing thinking about that totally uncomfortable moment between Harry and Quentin on last week’s Idol.

Well, for better or worse, a new promo for the upcoming episode has just been released, and it has us thinking that there’s plenty more where that came from! In a sneak peek for the episode, which will see yet another contestant leave us bringing the number down to just 5 remaining, we get a taste of how high tensions are running.

“Eliminations are always intense,” this promo says. “But the Twitter save takes it to a whole new level.” With that, we revisit footage from last week of that now infamous Quentin/Harry moment, and hear Harry say again “I think it’s highly disrespectful… If it’s that whack, you can always go home.”

Eek! Shuttering all over again!

The ‘Whack’ Heard Round The World

If you happened to have missed the completely live TV moment, allow us to provide a brief recap.

After Quentin’s performance, Ryan Seacrest chatted with the singer, per usual. However, despite receiving good feedback from the judges, Quentin had a notable scowl on his face. When Ryan asked him what was up, he motioned over to the bottom two, which consisted of Joey and Rayon Owen and he said, “this is whack.”

Upon hearing the comment, Harry stopped Quentin as he was walking to his seat and told him how disrespectful he was being, prompting Quentin to actually approach the judging table. The whole thing was incredibly intense– and amazing TV!

Do you think Quentin was being disrespectful?
