Roseanne Bar, 62, is not shy about her love for marijuana but in her new interview with The Daily Beast, the comedian revealed that lately, she’s been using to substance to ease the pain in her eyes due to glaucoma & macular degeneration. The subject of Roseanne’s disease came up when The Daily Beast reporter asked her why she was such a fan of marijuana. “It’s a good medicine, you know,” she said. “I have macular degeneration and glaucoma, so it’s good for me for that because I have pressure in my eyes. It’s a good medicine for a lot of things.”
She then explained that the degeneration will ultimately leave her blind. “My vision is closing in now,” she said
“It’s something weird. But there are other weird things. That one’s harsh, ’cause I read a lot, and then I thought, ‘Well, I guess I could hire somebody to read for me and read to me.’ But I like words and I like looking,” she went on.
Keeping a positive state of mind, Roseanne said “You do what you have to do. I just try and enjoy vision as much as possible—y’know, living it up. My dad had it, too.”
