Carey was hard to miss at the ‘Far From The Madding Crowd’ premiere on April 15! She looked gorgeous in a strapless sparkling frock, but is this dress fashion forward or a frumpy fit on the leading lady? VOTE below!
All eyes were on Carey Mulligan as she posed on the red carpet in London for the Far From The Madding Crowd premiere. The 29-year-old actress plays a simple farm owner, Bathsheba Everdene, in the 19th century period piece, but this look was clearly not inspired by her character. Do you love or loathe her futuristic look? Get the details below!
Carey Mulligan’s ‘Far From The Madding Crowd’ Premiere Dress — Sparkles In Christian Dior
Carey usually has a very simplistic and laid back approach to fashion, but she switched things up in this sparkling strapless Christian Dior Spring 2015 Couture dress.
This look-at-me number features large sequins embellished on the bodice in a petal-like arrangement, and floral lace detail at the hem. Carey accessorized simply with minimal jewelry and grey, silver and white Christian Louboutin ‘Tucsick’ pumps.
Carey Mulligan Pregnant? Was Her Christian Dior Dress Fashion Forward Or Frumpy?
Carey’s Christian Dior dress was such a stunner on the runway, but it’s not translating as well to the red carpet. The dress has a rather stiff look to it, and it caused onlookers to question if she chose such a loose fit in order to hide a baby bump. We’ll keep our eyes out for it!
We absolutely love the dress itself and Carey looks beautiful, but it seems to be a less than natural choice for her. However, we do love that she took a bold fashion risk, and the spring sequins is such a fun look!
Christian Dior Couture is super exclusive, but you can recreate a Carey-inspired look with the GLAMOROUS Sequin Flower Shift Dress. This dazzling sequin number will make you the life of the party, but no one will be questioning if theres a bun in the oven with this flattering v neck shift dress.
