Oh no! Apparently ‘Teen Mom 2’ star Leah Messer is struggling to keep her life together– and she might be forced into rehab if she doesn’t go willingly.
Things are not going well for Leah Messer, 22. The Teen Mom 2 star and mother of three is battling to keep custody of her young children in the midst of a crippling drug addiction, according to a new report. With everything on the line, will Leah accept help and go to rehab, or will she be forced to enter and lose her children in the process?
‘Teen Mom 2’: Is Leah Rehab-Bound?
Teen Mom 2‘s Leah is facing not one but two custody battles, and is also apparently struggling with drug addiction. Although the single mom has been putting up a strong front to the public eye, her reality is much darker. “She’s popping pills all day long,” a source close to Leah revealed to inTouch. “She’s confessed to Jeremy [Calvert, her estranged husband] that she has a problem, and knows she has no other choice than to go to rehab immediately.”
Leah has struggled with pill abuse in the past, specifically Lortab, the narcotic pain medication, and she is also currently abusing Xanax, the highly addictive antianxiety medication, according to the source.
So, if Leah is admitting she has a problem, is she ready to accept help? “MTV would foot the bill and force Leah to rehab because the network loves her,” the source said. “The last thing they want to see is her going down the same dark path that [co-stars] Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans did.”
Now that Leah is both ready to acknowledge her addiction as well as get free treatment, what’s stopping her? Well, in short, fear of losing her children. “She just won’t say she has a drug problem or needs rehab,” revealed a different source to inTouch. “She’s saying she’s going to go away to a ‘therapy intervention’ place for three or four weeks so she can find herself and help herself be a better person.”
Do you think Leah should lose her kids?
