With baby number two coming any day now, Kate is prepped and ready to go! The Duchess and Prince William have made sure to check everything off their list before the arrival of the couple’s second royal child.
Kate Middleton, 33, is due to give birth to her second child in a few short weeks, and her family and palace officials have gone into prep mode. It’s baby mayhem over in London, but here’s what we know about all the royal chaos.
Kate Middleton: How The Duchess Is Prepping For Second Royal Baby
As everyone tries to find things to do to pass the time eagerly awaits the big arrival of Kate and William‘s second child, preparations have been keeping the royal family very busy.
One thing being prepped is the baby’s room. The duke and duchess have stated they are unaware of the child’s gender, just like with Prince George, but huge speculation has come about after Kate reportedly bought pink paint. Oxford interior design company Annie Sloan dropped off three “feminine” paint samples to Anmer Hall, according to the Daily Mail.
Adding to the speculation as well as her prep, Kate was spotted looking through the little girl’s section of the children’s boutique Amaia, according to People. The store’s co-owner Segolene Tresca said, “She was looking at all the girls’ clothing. She was very interested.”
Could she possibly be having a girl? The anticipation is killing us over here!
Kate also made sure to get the right guy for the job. Guy Thorpe Beeston, the lead surgeon-gynecologist to the royal household, has been called back in to oversee the next royal baby’s birth. He also was there for the birth of Prince George, so it makes perfect sense that Kate feels more comfortable sticking with the same doctor.
Kate’s Hospital Posts ‘No Parking’ Signs
Speaking of the right person for the job, the royal family is sticking with just one nanny — for now. “They are happy with the arrangement,” a royal source told People. “If anything changes it wouldn’t be for a while.” Maria Borrallo is the full-time nanny they hired last year to help with Prince George, and she must be amazing if they aren’t hiring another.
Kate isn’t the only one prepping, St. Mary’s Hospital in London is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next royal baby. They are pulling out all the stops to make sure the royal family is safe and comfortable come the “special day”. The hospital put up no parking signs outside of the Lindo Wing on April 14. The restricted parking will last from April 15 to April 30 — that should give the new baby plenty of time to make his or her grand entrance.
One thing is for sure, there are a few big upcoming dates this month, which are right around the time the second royal baby may arrive. Queen Elizabeth II‘s birthday lands on April 21, and then there’s Kate and William’s fourth wedding anniversary, April 29. It would be too perfect if he or she arrives then!
