Jon Cryer is getting back to his roots! The actor dropped by the ‘Late Late Show’ to recreate his famous ‘Pretty in Pink’ scene– yeah, that one!
What year is it? On the Apr. 14 episode of The Late Late Show, Jon Cryer had us feeling some serious nostalgia when he transformed back into his breakout role of Phil “Duckie” Dale from the classic 80s flick, Pretty in Pink. He not only reenacted that infamous scene, but he also got down–way down– with host James Corden. Check out the amazing clip!
Jon Cryer’s Duckie From ‘Pretty In Pink’
Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer has some free time now that his long running series is over, which is great news for humans everywhere, because he’s totally recreating his iconic Pretty in Pink role! With the help of James Corden, Jon transported us right back to his famous movie.
Wearing matching ensembles complete with identical 80s-tastic wigs and tweed jackets, James and Jon got down to “Try a Little Tenderness,” the Otis Redding jam that we all associate with Pretty in Pink. Better still, the talk show’s set had been staged to precisely recreate the record store from the flick.
With the setup totally nailing it, all that was left was for Jon to remember those signature moves– and for James to join him! As you can see in the clip, it’s safe to say: mission accomplished!
Everyone Loves Duckie
It turns out, Jon is just as much a fan of his character Duckie as the rest of us were (okay, are).
“What I liked about Duckie was that he thought he was the coolest guy in the room,” Jon explained to People, before adding, “regardless of the evidence to the contrary.”
Were you happy to see the return of Duckie?
