Blake has been one busy little bee. Not only did she just star in the new film, The ‘Age of Adaline’, but she’s also getting used to another brand new role — mommy. The gorgeous actress has opened up in a new interview about the difficulties of motherhood, including breastfeeding.
Blake Lively, 27, is positively glowing these days, as she should be. The happily married actress just welcomed her first child, daughter James, with husband Ryan Reynolds on Jan. 5. Now, the former Gossip Girl is getting candid about her new role.
Blake Lively: Reveals That ‘Breastfeeding Is A Full Time Job’
Blake seemingly has it all. A booming career, a sexy husband, a rocking body and now a precious baby girl, but how does she juggle it all? Not to mention find time to breastfeed her infant?
The new mommy opened up about just that and called it a job within itself. Blake told Allure‘s May 2015 issue that breastfeeding is “a full-time job.”
She went on to say, “I’m, like, driving down the road, pumping.”
“It’s her life,” Blake told the outlet. “She should have her privacy until she chooses not to have her privacy, just as I got to choose and my husband got to choose.”
Blake And Ryan Prefer To Keep Their Personal Lives Private
“That was my way of owning that moment. I can’t be someone like Beyoncé and be like— [miming Beyonce’s 2011 VMAs onstage announcement],” Blake joked to Allure. “But it was important for us. It was a struggle, because we want to keep our privacy, but we also don’t want our lives to be exploited by other people. So we did it simply; it was a quiet way, an elegant way.”
Elegant indeed. The photo was stunning and captured the gorgeous mommy-to-be as she cradled her growing baby bump in the twilight.
“My brother took that photo—he’s an amazing photographer,” Blake said of the snap. “That moment was really neat, and I was scared to take that picture because I’m very private. I had a feeling that we weren’t going to get away with our privacy for a while.”
