Zayn is ready to fly solo in the spotlight! The singer is reportedly set to make his first public appearance since quitting One Direction very soon. Here’s the scoop.

Zayn Malik, 22, has left One Direction for good, which means we needs to get used to seeing Zayn at public events without 1D. Zayn will make his first public appearance since shockingly quitting the boy band on April 17 at Britain’s Asian Awards, according to a new report.

Zayn Malik’s First Public Appearance After Leaving One Direction

Zayn will come out of hiding and attend his first awards show– the British Asian Awards — after his 1D split on April 17, SugarScape reports. An invite was reportedly sent out that revealed that Zayn would be in attendance at London’s Grovesnor House Hotel.

Zayn hitting up this awards show does make sense. The singer is one of the British Asian Trust ambassadors. The awards show highlights achievements from within the growing Asian community.

However, it is going to be very weird seeing Zayn without Harry Styles, 21, Niall Horan, 21, Louis Tomlinson, 23, and Liam Payne, 21, by his side. Oh, the good ole days!

HollywoodLife.com has reached out for comment.

Zayn Malik: One Direction Moving On, But His Presence Lingers

It was bound to happen. One Direction is continuing as a four-piece, so it’s only natural that 1D would start to emphasize that. Zayn was recently removed from the band’s newest tour poster, but he is still featured on 1D’s fragrance ad!

HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that there’s no “bad blood” between Zayn and his bandmates after all the drama surrounding his departure. Whew! That’s good. We don’t think we could emotionally handle Zayn and the boys being angry with each other.

HollywoodLifers, are you still reeling over Zayn leaving One Direction? Do you think he’ll have a more successful solo career? Let us know!
