So terrifying! Ryan Reynolds, 38, was hit by a car in Vancouver on April 12. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The actor was in town to film his highly-anticipated movie, Deadpool. Did Ryan suffer any injuries from the hit-and-run? Here’s what we know.
Ryan Reynolds Car Accident: Actor Struck In Hit-And-Run
“While walking, Ryan was struck by a paparazzi driving a car through an underground parking garage,” Ryan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane, told HollywoodLife.com. “The man fled the scene. Ryan is okay.”
Whew! While we are angry that the person responsible left the scene, it’s such a relief that Ryan was uninjured.
Ryan, always being the best, even joked about his accident on April 12. A reporter from CBC tweeted at the actor to ask how he was doing after the accident. Ryan hilariously replied: “Put Beachcombers back on the air and I’ll call.” Beachcombers was a Canadian TV series that aired from 1972 to 1990.
HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Ryan’s rep for comment.
Ryan has been one busy man lately. In addition to his filming duties, the actor and wife Blake Lively, 27, became parents to a baby girl over the 2014 holidays. Everyone was anxious to find out the little girl’s name, and Ryan finally came clean!
Ryan told NBC’s Willie Geist, 39, in March 2015, “It’s James, everyone knows. I didn’t want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media, because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, ‘Why did you do that?’” He is the absolute best dad ever!”
We are so glad that Ryan was not injured as a result of the crash. Stay safe, Ryan!
