Deep breaths. It’s finally here — our first look at the latest ‘Rocky’ film, ‘Creed’ starring my man Sylvester Stallone alongside Michael B. Jordan! And yes, they’re in the ring together.
On April 12, Sylvester Stallone shared the first official photo of the upcoming film, Creed in which he’ll reprise the role of Rocky and will be training Apollo Creed’s grandson, Adonis Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan.
‘Creed’ First Pic Shows Michael B. Jordan & Sylvester Stallone In The Ring
“Get ready to go for it!” Stallone, 68, captioned the photo on his Instagram page. In the pic, we see that Rocky is teaching Adonis Creed how to do an upper cut. Naturally, Creed is ready to roll in his Nike work out clothes while Rocky is in all black — including that black fedora we all know and love.
This is our first glance at the seventh Rocky film, which has been shooting in Philadelphia — where the franchise began, and has traveled overseas. Phylicia Rashād will take on the role of Apollo’s widow, Mary Anne Creed while Tony Bellew will play “Pretty” Ricky Conlan, the man Adonis will fight in the ring.
What’s Coming Up In ‘Creed’
“It’s really good. I’m really excited about it. I think that’s all I can really say about that one,” Michael B. Jordan told MTV about the upcoming movie, being careful not to give away much. Stallone on the other hand isn’t too scared.
In December, he posted a photo on Twitter of the script with the caption, “Where the screenwriting is done.” And, if you rotate and zoom on the script you can definitely read that page — but who wants to do that?
Creed is set to hit theaters on November 25, 2015. Are you excited for the next Rocky? Do you think it will be good? Let us know.
