This is literally too much! At the MTV Movie Awards, perhaps no prize was more anticipated than Best Kiss! Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort were given the honor– and it kinda made us blush!

Congrats are in order for Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, as the duo won the prestigious honor for best kiss at this year’s MTV Movie Awards for The Fault in Our Stars! Admit it, Best Kiss is pretty much your favorite award at the MTV Movie Awards. I mean, the reasons are obvious, and at this year’s show on Apr. 12, those reasons were very clear! Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara (who will have their own onscreen smooch pretty soon!) were on hand to present the award, and the competition was seriously stacked! Shailene accepted the award– and making  pretty wild comment!

Ansel Elgort & Shailene Woodley Win MTV Movie Award For Best Kiss

Wow, Shailene!

Accepting their hard earned award for The Fault in Our Stars, Shailene took the stage at the MTV Movie Awards on behalf of she and Ansel, who could not be there because he is working on a movie. Shailene said of the onscreen smooches, “If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to kiss your brother…”

Um, awkward!

Some Stiff Kissing Competition

Ansel and Shailene beat out some seriously stiff competition (ew, that was not meant to be a pun). Also up for the sloppy honors were Rose Byrne and Halston Sage for NeighborsJames Franco and Seth Rogen for The InterviewScarlett Johansson and Chris Evans for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Sidenote: it’s a good thing the award didn’t go to Emma and Andrew, as the two have recently decided to put their real life relationship on hold indefinitely. I mean, imagine having to accept an award for best onscreen kiss after that. Awkward.

What do you think of the Best Kiss winner? Did they get it right or would you have liked to see someone else walk away with the honor?
