Anne Hathaway, I believe you just got served. On ‘Lip Sync Battle,’ Emily Blunt threw down the hard rhymes– and you kinda need to see it to believe it!
So much for playing nice! On the Apr. 9 episode of Lip Sync Battle, former Devil Wears Prada costars Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt went head to head in a pretty epic rap battle for the ages. After taunting each other mercilessly before either of them even hit the stage, both ladies showed up ready to fight. Anne performed pretty solidly, but it was Emily’s interpretation of Blackstreet‘s “No Diggity” that stole the whole dang show. Check it out for some serious LOLs!
Emily Blunt Raps ‘No Diggity’ On ‘Lip Sync Battle’
Who knew Emily Blunt was such a triple threat?
Okay, well, if you saw Into the Woods (which, let’s be honest, you did), then yes you did know that. However, it’s still astounding to see the multitalented actress get down and dirty on a rap song. Leave it to Lip Sync Battle to bring out the inner rapper of Miranda Priestly’s (Meryl Streep) minions.
Wearing a simple jeans and button down ensemble, Emily rotated her hips so fiercely, you could’ve sworn she had been embodied by the King himself, Elvis. Top that, Hathaway!
It’s Emily VS. Anne
Try she did, though! Anne took on the Mary J. Blige classic, “Love” and, we’ll be honest, it was pretty great. Obviously, that isn’t surprising considering Anne’s multitalented background (hello, she won a freaking Oscar for her work acting and singing in Les Miserables), but even so, her performance here caught us by surprise!
Wearing an outfit suitable for Mary J. herself– hey there, leather pants– Anne made that song her own, and she certainly did end up giving Emily a run for her money!
Who do you think was the winner here, Anne or Emily?
