Sigh. This is all happening WAY too fast. HollywoodLife.com has the scoop on when ‘The Vampire Diaries’ will wrap filming for season six, marking Nina’s last day on set — and it’s sooner than you’d think!

The cast of The Vampire Diaries is gearing up to complete filming on season six, and this year especially, the final day on set will be bittersweet. On April 6, Nina Dobrev, 26, confirmed she’ll be leaving the show once this season is over, and her last day with the cast and crew is quickly approaching, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned

Nina Dobrev’s Last Day On The Vampire Diaries Set Revealed

“Production will wrap with filming in mid-April. That includes Nina,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It’ll likely be the 16 or 17. If they make their days on time, that’s the schedule for when things will end.”

In fact, it’s coming up so soon, that Nina already celebrated her final days with a lake party on Easter Weekend. She was joined by a majority of her cast mates, and from the looks of all the photos posted to Instagram, the group had an absolute blast.

Hopefully Nina can enjoy her last days on set just as much as she did the fun party!

‘The Vampire Diaries’: Nina Dobrev Would Return For A Future Movie

Don’t give up all hope, though, Elena Gilbert fans! As HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reported, there are certain circumstances that Nina would reprise her role for. “She would comeback for a movie,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

And an appearance on the show’s series finale is also a possibility. “The show wants to give Nina her proper finish,” an insider told us. “She deserves it and many don’t want to ruin that by adding her to next season, even in a guest spot situation. If this is her last season they want to make it her last season and make it mean something. They would only consider her to return during the finale.”

We’re desperately hoping that the writers are able to give Nina an ending that’s satisfying to fans — we’ve invested six years in this, after all!

Tell us, HollywoodLifers — are you still so sad to see Nina go? Or have you accepted the news at this point?
