It’s hard to believe that ‘Twin Peaks’ turns 25 years old today. That news probably is most surprising to the show’s original cast — let’s see what the stars of the iconic series have been up to!

Though Twin Peaks only lasted two seasons, it’s still super influential. Not only was it basically the first show to introduce the “season-long mystery” device, it also was one of the first examples of auteur television, or, shows so influenced by the creator that they are deemed the artist (think Vince Gilligan and Breaking Bad). The series is so beloved that now, 25 years later, a reboot is actually happening on Showtime in 2016. While most details are still unknown, a lot of the original cast is supposedly on board! To prepare, let’s see what they’ve been up to!

‘Twin Peaks’ 25th Anniversary

Twin Peaks is now 25, but it doesn’t look a day over 20! Let’s catch up with the cast!

Kyle MacLachlan: We obviously have to start with the series star, Kyle, who has continued to work in television pretty much nonstop. First, Kyle had a memorable run on Sex and the City, playing Charlotte’s (Kristin Davis) impotent husband. He then played another not-so-great spouse to Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross) on Desperate Housewives. He now has a recurring guest arc on the cult series Portlandia, and he will reprise his role on the Twin Peaks reboot.

Michael Ontkean: Michael is also confirmed for the Twin Peaks reboot. Throughout the last 25 years, he has acted in a ton of TV shows and TV movies including The Outer Limits and Sophie. Most memorably, he starred in the Academy Award nominated film The Descendants, opposite Shailene Woodley and George Clooney.

Mädchen Amick: Mädchen, too, will Reprise her Twin Peaks role when the series returns. In the past few years, she has also starred on several shows including Beauty and the Beast and Witches of East End.

Are you guys excited for the Twin Peaks revival?
