As if the incredible performances on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ weren’t emotional enough, contestant Rumer Willis revealed in the April 6 episode that she was bullied as a teen in a heartfelt video segment. At daughter Rumer’s tearful confession, mom Demi Moore welled up, too!

You would never know from her confident dancing skills that Rumer Willis, 26, was bullied as a teenager, but in the April 6 episode of Dancing With The Stars, Rumer confessed that her past wasn’t all sunshine and daisies. Rumer’s monologue — and amazing dance performance that followed — had mom Demi Moore, 51, welling up in the audience.

‘DWTS’ Rumer Willis Bullied As A Teen: Demi Moore Cries At Confession

Rumer Willis’ tear-jerking confession was nothing if not insightful.

Though she’s absolutely killing it this season on DWTS, Rumer spoke about what it was like to grow up with world-famous parents, and how it was hard for her to feel comfortable in her awkward teenage body. “When I was a teenager I was super awkward; I don’t think I really felt comfortable in my body or with how I looked, and people were nasty,” Rumer revealed.

It was difficult for young Rumer to constantly be compared to her mom, who is widely considered to be one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women. “My mom, who is one of the most stunning women I’ve ever met…everyone was comparing me to [her], saying that ‘you look more like your very masculine father than your beautiful Mom.'” Rumer’s nasty childhood bullies drove her to consider plastic surgery in order to look more “womanly”.

Poor Rumer! We can see why her words brought Demi to tears.

Rumer Willis Inspired By Sister Tallulah — Overcame Childhood Bullying

Rumer’s sad story has a happy ending. She looked to younger sister Tallulah Willis, 21, for inspiration — and found it!

“My sister Tallulah was in rehab and I was inspired because she didn’t try to hide from it. She really owned it. She got in this mindset of saying ‘Here are my flaws and it’s OK. I’m still me and I’m still beautiful and it doesn’t matter.’,” Rumer admitted. “I just realized that I could feel the same way and I need to stop listening to the bullies.”

After Rumer’s speech, Demi clapped her hands together and smiled, her eyes filled with joyful tears. Tallulah, who sat next to Demi, also looked proud of her big sis.

Take that, haters — Rumer definitely got her revenge by growing into herself and becoming a strong, beautiful woman…with superb dancing skills! We’re also really glad that she stayed true and avoided plastic surgery.

HollywoodLifers, did you tear up at Rumer’s honest, emotional speech? We’re still sniffling!
