‘Straight Outta Compton’ Trailer

“If you had the chance to change your situation, would you take it?”

That is the question which must be answered in the upcoming film Straight Outta Compton. Based on the real events of the N.W.A., the film tells the story of hiphop legends Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E who, with their music, became a symbol for the unrepresented citizens in inner cities all over the country, specifically in Compton, California.

“People are scared of you guys,” says Paul Giamatti in this just released trailer. “You have a unique voice– the world needs to hear it.”

An Important Film

Along with Paul, the film will star Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, and O’Shea Jackson Jr. as Ice Cube. Additionally, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre have both signed on to help produce the film, based upon their real lives.

The film tells a controversial story which is just as important today as it was the day the movement began.

“Your song glamorize gangs and drugs,” a concerned man protests.

“Our art is a reflection of our reality,” Ice Cube says.
