How can you not be rooting for Noah on Dancing with the Stars?
Back in 2005, Noah lost both his left arm and part of his left leg while in combat in Iraq. In the time following the accident, Noah admitted that he went through a very dark period.
“I went through depression,” he revealed to People. “The drinking, eating bad, spending days at the house without leaving,” he added. However, Noah realized it makes more sense to focus on what he does have, not what he is missing, and the same can be said of his time on Dancing.
“There’s no need to point out things I’m lacking,” he said. “[Sharna] works around it… I don’t care how long I last on the show. I’ve won.”
That same thinking is what helped to initially pull Noah out of his depression in the first place. “One day I realized I wasn’t being a good father or a good person,” he said. “I needed to quit focusing on what I lost and concentrate on what I have left.”
Still, it can be tough for Noah these days, especially considering his grueling DWTS schedule. But when Noah needs inspiration, he knows exactly where to turn: his three children Colton, 10, Jack, 7, and Rian, 5.
