Giuliana Rancic’s super thin body has been a topic of conversation ever since her appearance at the 2015 Golden Globes. Although the ‘E! News’ anchor has stayed mum throughout the endless speculation about her skinny frame, she has finally broken her silence!
Giuliana Rancic‘s frail figure has been worrying her fans, who have been speculating that she may have an eating disorder. Finally, after months of whispers, Giuliana has finally spoken out on the matter. Although the red carpet fixture and E! personality is usually asking the questions, Giuliana, 40, put herself in the hot seat on April 1 and addressed her fans’ fears. In fact, the cancer survivor and mom to son Duke, 2, even explained why she is “too thin”!
Giuliana Rancic’s Skinny Body — She Says ‘I Know I’m Too Thin’ In New Interview
“I never want my weight to distract people from what I do. But it is becoming a distraction, [whenever] I wear something sleeveless, show my arms, my back,” professed Giuliana.
The viral disses and controversial comments on Twitter, which first appeared during her coverage of the Golden Globes on Jan. 11, have given rise to various theories about Giuliana’s weight.
“Some people were saying, ‘The cancer is probably back,'” recalled Giuliana, who beat breast cancer in 2011.
“And they were accusing me of every eating disorder. I thought to myself, ‘God, if someone really thought I had an eating disorder, what a horrible way to approach it,'” added the star, who is married to Bill Rancic.
For the Italian American host, eating more pasta and gelato won’t help her gain weight since a cancer-suppressing medication reportedly prevents her from packing on the pounds.
“I started noticing that I was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all,” said Giuliana, who admits that she is not one to ever turn down dessert.
“I’m sorry that some people think I’m disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there’s nothing I can do. I’m lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine,” added the host.
Giuliana Rancic ‘Devastated’ Her ‘Fashion Police’ Family Threw Her Under The Bus
It’s definitely been a rocky 2015 for Giuliana, who was also under fire for making a racially insensitive joke about Zendaya‘s Oscars dreadlocks during an episode of Fashion Police. Her comment not only started a media frenzy, but it also reportedly led to the departure of co-hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin.
With the media constantly scrutinizing the star, we can understand why it may be hard for her to stay positive about her public image as well as her body image.
In fact, “G” was supposed to be featured in a publication, but was then dropped because she was “too thin,” reports E! News.
“I look in the mirror and it’s hard for me. I am really thin. I want to look fit and beautiful and sexy, and I can’t,” said Giuliana.
But, nonetheless, Mrs. Rancic remains a fighter through and through, telling PEOPLE, “I refuse to be broken [by what people say. I have so many beautiful things in my life.”
