Is ‘Frozen’ taking over the world? Well Disney World, maybe! On April 1, Disney released a statement that the epic Cinderella castle would be changing its name to ‘Elsa’s Ice Palace,’ based on the frozen ice queen. Needless to say, people are freaking out!

Beginning September 8, 2015 — the day after Hollywood Studio’s Frozen Summer Fun ends, Cinderella’s Castle, the famed center of Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, will be changing its name to “Elsa’s Ice Palace,” Walt Disney spokesperson, Ilene Woods, said in the statement.

Cinderella Castle Changed To Elsa’s Ice Palace

“We knew that the live action version of Cinderella would cause a problem for us. Cinderella no longer looks like Cinderella, and the castle at the Magic Kingdom looks nothing like what is seen in the movie. One of our Imagineers pointed out that ‘Ella’ and ‘Elsa’ sound so much alike that most people probably wouldn’t even notice the change. That set the plan in motion,” the statement began.

Does this sound a little off to you? Yes, it sounds off to us too — but that’s because it’s APRIL 1!

“We’re hoping for a year from today,” she continued. “That would make it April 1, 2016. April 1…get it? Oh, and one more thing. Did I mention that the bridge to Adventureland is for sale? I can get you a good deal on it if anyone is interested.”

That’s right, it’s all a prank for April Fools Day. But fans definitely freaked out at first!

Did you fall for it?
