This is not a drill! Scott Eastwood has officially joined the highly anticipated ‘Suicide Squad’ film. Find out who (or what!) he’s playing!
This might be the day’s best news. After much speculation, it has now been confirmed that dreamboat Scott Eastwood will star in the upcoming film, Suicide Squad. The film won’t hit theaters until Aug. 5, 2016 so, understandably, many details are being kept quiet. However, along with Scott’s casting we do know what role he will play in the superhero flick! Check out the deets!
Scott Eastwood In ‘Suicide Squad’ Cast
Update: Sources tell Variety that test offers were set to go out to four actors for one of the male leads films on Monday. It had been rumored that the role Scott Eastwood had nabbed for Suicide Squad was Steve Trevor, the love interest of Wonder Woman, but sources now say that is not true and that the four actors testing would be for the role of Trevor.
In the upcoming film, Scott Eastwood will play (drum roll please…) Steve Trevor, according to Latino Review. That’s right, Scott will be the primary love interest of Amanda Waller or, as you may better know her, the one and only Wonder Woman!
Also joining the film’s cast is Raymond Olubowale, who is most well known for his professional wrestling chops, though you may recognize him from Resident Evil: Retribution, in which he starred. Raymond will play the all important King Shark.
In Suicide Squad, a secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency, according to the film’s official description.
Blinded By Star Power
Along with Scott and Raymond, the rest of the cast is ridiculous as well. Margot Robbie is on board to play Harley Quinn, and Cara Delevingne (fresh off her first major film role in Paper Towns) is also on board, and will play Enchantress.
Is your head ready to explode from all that star power? Yeah, ours too!
What do you think of Scott playing Steve Trevor? Are you excited for Suicide Squad?
