Noah Galloway is inspiring audiences everywhere on this season of ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Will the disabled vet take another risk and try out a prosthetic limb?
The competition on season 20 of Dancing with the Stars is already fierce, thanks in no small part to Noah Galloway, 33. The motivational speaker and war veteran, who lost both his left arm and part of his left leg in combat, has been heating up the dance floor with partner Sharna Burgess. Of course, with each week’s dances getting progressively more intricate, could Noah be feeling the pressure to test out a prosthetic arm? Well, as of now, the dancing dude says no!
Noah Galloway: Will He Use Prosthetic Arm?
When it comes to his missing arm, Noah will continue to go natural–for the time being, anyway.
On the Mar. 30 episode of Dancing, the remaining pairs will attempt the Argentine tango, no small feat. To provide additional support, Noah revealed to Good Morning America correspondent, Cameron Mathison, that he considered trying out a prosthetic arm for the tricky dance. However, he ultimately decided against it.
“This isn’t the week we should use it. I need more time with the arm,” Noah said. “It’s been a really stressful week with it — for both of us – in not having the arm in the beginning and trying to imagine what it would do, and then when we get the arm, discovering it’s really not that easy to just put on an arm and go.”
Noah’s Biggest Fan
Noah’s got the whole country cheering for him on DWTS, but one of his biggest fans has been there all along: his 7-year-old son. However, Noah said that his little guy wasn’t very used to seeing daddy dance!
“When we got done talking, I said, ‘Buddy, I’ve got to go, I’ve got to go dance!'” Noah said, recalling a recent conversation he had with his son. “And he laughed and laughed. I said, ‘Did you ever think you’d hear Dad say that’? He said ‘No, I’ve never heard you say that.’ And he just thinks it’s so cool.”
Beyond words adorable.
