Nate Ruess, 33, got everyone at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards feeling the love! The former fun. frontman may not have been up for an award, but he gave an award-worthy performance of his hit single to the iHeartRadio Award audience!
Nate Ruess’ iHeartRadio Music Award Performance — ‘Nothing Without Love’
Nate knew he had to bring his A-game because the Mar.29 award show at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles was PACKED with some of the biggest names in the music world. In his first major public appearance since his band’s hiatus, Nate nailed it out of the park! Appearing completely in white in a stark spotlight, Nate captivated the audience with his soulful voice before the stage exploded in light, revealing a full band that joined him in the emotional testament to the power of love.
He was was one of the litany of stars set to take to the stage during this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards. Others included Madonna, Meghan Trainor, Snoop Dogg & Charlie Wilson, Kelly Clarkson and even Nick Jonas, fresh off his duties as host of the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Unfortunately for their fans, Fun announced their break in Feb.2015. As Nate pursues his solo career, his former bandmates are also busy with current projects: Andrew Donst is writing music scores for films and Jack Antonoff is fronting his own indie pop band, Bleachers.
Rihanna Kills ‘BBHMM’ At The iHeart Radio Music Awards
In one of the memorable moments of the ceremony, Rihanna gave the first performance of her brand new single, “B*tch Better Have My Money.” After making her entrance in a helicopter while wearing an green fur-coat and matching thigh-high boots, RiRi proceeded to set the stage on fire before tore it down with her performance! You better believe that spectacle had everyone on their feet!
