Zayn Malik: You Owe Your Fans More Of A Personalized Message After Quitting 1D

Zayn is obviously going thought a lot right now and I totally support his decision to leave One Direction, however, I think the way he is handling the situation is hurting a lot of his loyal fans who have been with him every step of the way for 5 years.

Yes, Zayn Malik did release an official statement on One Direction‘s Facebook, but after the news broke, all four of the other boys reached out to Directions via Twitter and Zayn stayed completely quiet. The first time he broke his silence was in an interview with a gossip site?! Zayn, that’s not cool.

Zayn Malik Fans — He Owes Directioners At Least A Tweet

Something is just not right. I mean, Zayn quits One Direction, doesn’t even tweet or personally reach out to his fans, and then the first time he speaks, it’s to a gossip site?

I get it if Zayn wants privacy during this difficult time, but he spoke to The Sun — and not to his loyal fans. I think Zayn owes it the Directioners to at least tweet a small paragraph, even a sentence about quitting.

Zayn Malik’s First Interview Since Leaving One Direction: ‘It Wasn’t The Real Me’

In the Sun’s interview, he expresses his fear that he let his fans down by quitting. Well Zayn, you haven’t let your fans down by quitting but you are kind of letting us down with how you’re handling this whole thing.

You said you weren’t happy in One Direction for a while now, and that also kind of hurt to hear. Seeing you in concert was the best day of some people’s lives — and you’re saying it was some of your worst days?

Listen, I am not here to be a hater. I love and respect Zayn and wish him the very best. He will forever be my Bradford bad boy, but I think a simple tweet would help ease the pain that a lot of fans feel right now.
