So who is the young woman behind the giant lips that take 40 minutes to line on? ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ judge and E! star Ross Mathews gives up all his Hollywood secrets in our new HollywoodLife.com podcast.
Ross Mathews Talks Kylie Jenner, Kardashians & More On New Podcast
As a regular host on E!’s Live From the Red Carpet, Ross has chatted up every gorgeous leading lady and when it comes to the Kardashian clan, he reveals that he’s a fan of the whole crew, on our podcast.
“They’re all good girls. They show up on time, they work hard. They’re nice…and they’re polite to everyone,” Ross explains.
As for Kylie, 17, who’s been making time with rapper Tyga, 25, Ross isn’t worried in the least that she’s a wild child. “If you think about when you were 17, the growing pains you went through, I wouldn’t want cameras taking my picture all the time. It’s an awkward stage. You’re feeling like a grown up but you’re not. It’s like Britney [Spears] said: ‘I’m not a girl, not yet a woman.’ Just give her a second, she’s going to be fine,” Ross assures us.
Phew! We’re glad to hear that, Ross.
Ross Mathews Admits: ‘I’ve Always Been A Belieber’
Now, on the subject of another Hollywood wild child — Justin Bieber — Ross was just as enthusiastic. Matthews, 35, is planning a night home in front of the TV on March 30, to watch Justin’s Comedy Central roast. “I applaud him. I’ve always been a Belieber. For a bit, I couldn’t belieb his behavior,” he admits.
But he thinks the roast is a genius idea: “People forgive you right away if you allow yourself to make fun of yourself. By putting himself up for that, people will see another side of him. It shows that he’s in on the joke,” Ross tells us.
Now, of course, we had to ask Ross about Fashion Police since he is both a close friend to Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic. Talk about being the man in the middle. Somehow, Ross, who has his own Podcastone podcast — Straight Talk with Ross Matthews, which you can also download from iTunes — is still besties with both women.
As for who should now replace Kelly or Kathy Griffin, he thinks it would be wonderful if a person of color became a new cast member. “I don’t think anyone should be hired or fired specifically for the color of their skin, but personally, I like TV when there’s people of all different sizes, shapes and colors. I think it’s more interesting,” Ross says.
We couldn’t agree more.
