While guest co-hosting on ‘The Talk’ on March 24, Kelly Osbourne praised Angelina Jolie’s brave decision to remove both of her ovaries and even revealed, ‘I’ll have my ovaries removed.’
Kelly Osbourne got quite emotional during the March 24 episode of The Talk, while discussing Angelina Jolie‘s decision to remove both her ovaries and her fallopian tubes. The 30-year-old style icon, who watched her mom (Sharon Osbourne) battle colon cancer, said that she would also be getting her ovaries removed, as she also has the “cancer gene.”

“I actually do have the cancer gene. My mom made all of us get tested after she had found out that she had it…and got her double mastectomy,” Kelly, who has seamlessly transitioned from talking about hemlines on Fashion Police to her health history on The Talk, said.
Kelly continued to reflect on how her mother’s past will continue to influence her future choices about her body.
“I have been a child of a cancer survivor, so being on that end of it as well is really… really, really hard to deal with. And, I am so lucky to have the mother that I have, the brave mother that has taught me so much. I applaud Angelina for it because she is bringing attention to this and people are now going to go get tested for it,” Kelly stated.

Above all, the filmmaker and UN Ambassador wanted to rewrite her family’s healthy history after losing her mother, aunt and grandmother to cancer.
“I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt. I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn’t live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren,” she wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times titled, Angelina Jolie Pitt: Diary of a Surgery.
