A full 25 years after its 1990 release, the ‘GoodFellas’ cast will be together once again– and for a great reason!

The GoodFellas are getting back together, you guys– yup, all of ’em! On apr. 25 at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, the iconic cast of what might be Martin Scorsese‘s most famous flick will join one another for a seriously epic reunion! We’ve got all the deets!

‘Goodfellas’ Reunion

Don’t…forget about it!

On apr. 25, literally 25 years after its premiere, the cast of GoodFellas will reassemble for a conversation hosted by Jon Stewart. Martin will take part in the conversation, as well as Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino.

The conversation will take place at the Beacon Theater following a screening of the classic film, which has supposedly been remastered. The sure-to-be epic event will, fittingly, close out the entire festival, now in its 14th year.

A Major Achievement

It makes sense that the Robert De Niro-starring film will play a major part in the Tribeca Film Festival, as he was one of the festival’s original cofounders. It seems as though Robert is proud to have two of his past accomplishments coming together in one place. “I was most proud of this film 25 years ago and equally proud of it now,” he said in a statement.

Martin, too, seems equally proud that the film will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in such a major way. “I was so excited to learn that this picture, now 25 years old, would be closing this year’s Tribeca Film Festival,” he said in his own statement. “Excited and moved. It was an adventure to get it on screen—we wanted to make a movie that was true to Nick Pileggi’s book and to the life of Henry Hill and his friends, which means that we broke some rules and took some risks. So it’s heartening to know that GoodFellas has come to mean so much to so many people. It’s wonderful to see one of your pictures revived and re-seen, but to see it closing Tribeca, a festival of new movies, means the world to me.”
