Brad Pitt has always stood by Angelina Jolie in her time of need — and now is no different. The actress revealed on March 24 that she had both her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after a cancer scare, and her husband was at her side through it all.
What an amazing husband Angelina Jolie has! The 39-year-old spoke highly about her husband, Brad Pitt, who was “on a plane within hours” to be by her side when her blood test came back, informing her there was a chance she had cancer — and he stayed with her through the tough decision, that left her unable to have children.
Angelina Jolie’s Cancer Scare — How Brad Pitt Supported Her
“I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt. I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn’t live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren,” the mother of six wrote in her New York Times op-ed about the moment her doctor told her she needed to get her ovaries checked out due to “inflammatory markers” which could be a sign of cancer.
“I called my husband in France, who was on a plane within hours,” Angelina wrote of Brad. “The beautiful thing about such moments in life is that there is so much clarity. You know what you live for and what matters. It is polarizing, and it is peaceful.”
Now, it doesn’t come to a surprise that Brad was supporting her every step of the way. The couple, who have three biological children together and three adopted, have always been a strong unit — and he’s always supported her.
When Angelina revealed she had a double mastectomy two years ago, she wrote about Brad in her op-ed:
I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive. So to anyone who has a wife or girlfriend going through this, know that you are a very important part of the transition. Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has.
Every woman deserves a man who adores them, even at the worst of times.
