The star turned up at the LA premiere in a sweet pink dress — but the look definitely wasn’t one of her best! Do you agree?
Fresh off the news announcing Rihanna‘s new gig as Dior’s brand ambassador, the star turned up on the red carpet at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood for the LA premiere of Home clad in a pink dress from the fashion house. The frock featured a voluminous silhouette and kept her relatively covered up — especially in terms of Rihanna’s racy dressing.
Rihanna’s ‘Home’ Premiere Dress: Delightful in Dior?
While promoting the children’s film the star opted for a more conservative look on the red carpet, turning up in feminine creations that include retro styles and pastel hues. Sure, we love seeing her switch up her style, but unfortunately this dress didn’t do much for her figure.
The wide straps and the roomy bodice seemed ill-fitting, especially because it gave way to the structured skirt, which stopped right at her ankles. If the straps were thinner the top of the frock would have definitely looked more flattering on her shoulders. I also wish the bodice was tighter on the star. A form-fitting bodice that gave way to the structured skirt would’ve looked great on her. I also would’ve loved it if the skirt was a drop shorter — the length totally cut off her figure.
With a dark lip and her hair swept back into a bun she polished off the ensemble.
Don’t get me wrong — I love seeing RiRi take risks on the red carpet and I’m enjoying her more conservative, covered up look, however, this satin and leather dress left me feeling lackluster. Do you agree or do you think this was a major moment for RiRi?
