Jennifer Lawrence Confirms ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Is Her Last — Watch

Sorry Mystique fans! J-Law is officially signing off of the ‘X-Men’ franchise after her next film. Watch her new interview here.

“It is my last one, actually,” Jennifer Lawrence revealed in a new interview when asked about her recurring role as Mystique in X-Men. The actress, who is currently filming yet another movie alongside Bradley Cooper and David O’Russell, didn’t explain much more — but we know she’s probably thrilled she won’t have to redo that blue makeup much longer!

JLaw, 26, told MTV that this next movie will be her last of the series. You can see the interview above (it’s the last question in the video!).

For X-Men lovers, you know that the ending of Days of Future Past didn’t exactly leave much room for Mystique, Xavier (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and Beast (Nicholas Hoult). Plus, with new characters being introduced, it may be time for a whole new class!

We know that younger versions of Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler have joined and we can expect to see Sophie TurnerRose Byrne, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Tye Sheridan, and Alexandra Shipp in Apocalypse.

What’s Next For Jennifer Lawrence?

The film, which is set to start filming within the next few months, will feature the mutants back in time once again, battling Oscar Isaac’s villain. X-Men: Apocalypse film will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.

Meanwhile, JLaw is busy filming Joy, a new movie with Bradley, and just got confirmed for another project, It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War. She also has the final installment of The Hunger GamesMockingjay – Part 2, set to come out later this year.
