Sia’s back on her wig game! The singer stepped out on the red carpet in Las Vegas on March 21 wearing an oversized, platinum blonde wig!
Sia, 39, is once again shielding herself from the public eye in her own way. The Aussie star graced the red carpet for the Marquee Dayclub Preview Party at The Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas wearing a blonde wig that covered her entire face. To kick off spring in style, the “Chandelier” singer donned a maroon hat to style her enormous wig!
Sia’s Face Hidden With Wig At Las Vegas Club Party
Sia’s latest red carpet look shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone — the style icon is renowned for pushing boundaries with her fashion sense. In what was otherwise a casual outfit — cream-colored pantsuit, red stilettos and hat — Sia donned her notorious wig for the Las Vegas event.
From SNL performances to the Grammys, Sia’s pulled off her wig-tastic look multiple times. It’s her thing. And we love her for it.
Sia was joined at the star-studded launch of the club’s summer season by Kourtney Kardashian, who jetted in to host the event. Despite Kourtney’s leopard print outfit, she couldn’t outshine Sia, who drew all the attention on the red carpet.
Sia has an extremely relevant answer for why she doesn’t show her face. In the day when everyone is fighting for fame, it’s nice to see someone so open about the struggles of being in the spotlight.
“I don’t want to be famous, or recognizable,” she told Nightline’s Chris Connelly in June 2014. “I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the internet. I’ve been writing pop songs for pop stars now for a couple of years and I’ve become friends with them and see what their life is like and that’s not something I want.”
And it’s not always a wig Sia uses to maintain her anonymity. In a recent interview about her “Elastic Heart” music video, the camera-shy star’s face was blocked by some bananas!
So what do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is Sia’s blonde oversized wig a fashion faux pas? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
