So scary! Verne Troyer was rushed to a hospital in Texas after suffering a sudden seizure on March 21. The ‘Austin Powers’ actor was at a fan meet and greet when he was struck by the seizure.
Verne Troyer was at the Heart of Texas Comic Con in Waco, Texas when he had a sudden seizure, forcing him leave the convention and seek medical attention. The Austin Powers actor, 46, was immediately rushed to the hospital after struggling to breathe.

So scary! Witnesses told TMZ that Verne had a difficult time breathing while he was at a fan meet and greet during the convention.
Thankfully since the seizure, Verne seems to be doing OK. The actor’s rep told the site that he was transferred to a hospital only as a precautionary measure. Verne reportedly went through a bunch of tests at the hospital and his results came back normal. However, no word of what caused the seizure has been revealed.
We’re glad Verne got the medical attention he needed! It sounds like it could have been a lot worse had he not been under a doctor’s care, and it’s definitely better to be safe than sorry.
Being the lovable Mini-Me he is, Verne took to Twitter shortly after he was admitted to assure his fans that he was alright and to thank them for their concerns.

Verne is best known for playing Mini-Me in the second two Austin Powers films. The actor, who stands at 2 ft. 8 in., has an extensive film and television career including starring in Mike Myers‘ 2008 comedy The Love Guru and appearing on the 2005 reality show The Surreal Life.
