We can hardly wait for the hit series to return to TV on April 12, but until then, let’s talk about the beauty looks on the cast at the March 18 premiere in London!
London calling! The cast of Game Of Thrones traded swords and dragons for curling irons and lipstick at the premiere of the fifth season in London, England. I love seeing stars like Sophie Turner and Gwendoline Christie all glammed up!
‘Game Of Thrones’ Premiere Hair & Makeup — Sophie Turner & More
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, looked amazing with a high, tight ponytail with a thick black band. It looked so cool and modern because it wasn’t perfect and that was the point. Her hairstylist, Stephen Low, Creative Director at Neville Hair & Beauty Salon, gave her a Japanese inspired ponytail and he shared exactly how he did it in 4 simple steps!
“The key to getting Sophie’s sleek high ponytail is in the preparation of the hair when it’s wet.
1. Start off with towel-dried hair and prep with some blow-dry lotion before blow-drying partially to smooth out the soft hairs along the hairline.
2. Then take the U shaped section at the top and backcomb it only at the roots to give the hair slight volume.
3. To keep the look natural, rake fingers through the hair and pull it up tight into a high ponytail without smoothing out the natural separation. Secure with an elastic and bind with a piece of black fabric for an inch and a half.
4. Finally, take the ponytail and very lightly plait the ends. Spray with some blow-dry lotion before diffusing for a few minutes until dry. Then undo the plaits to give the hair soft, natural texture.” So easy!
Sophia’s skin was glowing — she had highlighter in all the right places! A pretty blush brought attention to her high cheekbones and her eyes looked wide and bright with a white metallic in the inner corners. Her lips were pretty and shiny with a pink gloss.
Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei, looked stunning with voluminous, tight curls. She wore a grey metallic eyeshadow and a berry stain on her lips. Her brows were full and huge — love that look!
Unfortunately, her master Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, wasn’t at the premiere.
More ‘GOT’ Beauty Looks
Gwendoline Christie showed the biggest transformation, with her short blonde hair gelled into a retro roll.
Her makeup was fresh and pretty — she wore a pink eyeshadow, long, dark lashes and a mauve lipstick. I love seeing her made up — so different from her tom boy character Brienne of Tarth.
Are you going to watch season 5 of Game Of Thrones?
