Chace Crawford In ‘Boom’: Actor Cast In ABC Pilot
Here comes the… Boom!
In what is quickly becoming one the most exciting pilots of the season, Chace has just been cast in the ABC (hopefully) series. The drama, written by Josh Pate and Rodes Fishburne with direction from Jonas Pate, will focus on the biggest oil discovery in American history which has triggered a geopolitical shift and an economic boom in North Dakota on a scale not seen since the 1849 California Gold Rush, according to the show’s official synopsis.
Chace will play Billy, a natural hustler who relies on his luck and quick wit. He’s handsome and cunning, with savvy to match. The series will follow he and his wife, Kelly, as they travel to the oil fields of the Bakken, in search of fortune and a better life.
Welcome Back, Chace
Billy and Kelly’s journey takes an unexpected and devastating turn when, in route, they endure a road accident leaving them stranded. They are also left completely broke and very much in debt. To pull he and Kelly out of their financial hole, he hears of a deal he thinks he should get involved in. However, in so doing, he also happens to be risking his life.
No big deal, right? Along with Chace, the pilot will star Pretty Little Liars actor Yani Gellman and The Fosters star Caitlin Carver as star-crossed lovers.
