We finally have some answers — or do we? During Nick’s emotional interview on ‘Dr. Phil,’ he and his mother recounted his side of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s tragic drowning, answering some questions but raising others.
Nick Gordon, 24, was joined by his mother, Michelle, during an emotionally charged Dr. Phil interview-turned-intervention that aired on March 11. There was much crying over the Bobbi Kristina Brown tragedy, but Dr. Phil, 64, finally had to ask the question that we all want to know: How did Bobbi Kristina end up facedown and unconscious in her bathtub? That’s when Nick’s side of the story was finally told.
Nick Gordon Intervention: His Story Of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Drowning Revealed
Unfortunately a distraught Nick was in no condition to go into detail about Bobbi Kristina’s shocking Jan. 31 drowning during the interview. But his mother, Michelle, was able to share what Nick told her about the events leading up to that tragic day.
On Friday, Jan. 30, the night before Bobbi Kristina, 22, was found facedown in her bathtub, she, Nick and their mutual friend Max Lomas went out to have a few drinks, Michelle told Dr. Phil. Upon returning to Bobbi’s Georgia home, she and Nick got into a fight, one that made him walk away to sleep in a different room. Bobbi went to her own room to draw a bubble bath.
The arrival of the cable guy prompted a search for Bobbi Kristina, said Michelle. Max, who was staying with Nick and Bobbi, was the one who found her and pulled her out of the bathtub. But, according to Michelle, since Max didn’t know CPR, he called for Nick, who then attempted to revive Bobbi Kristina until the paramedics arrived.
Michelle’s recounting of what her son told her echoed earlier reports, but there are still many questions left unanswered. Hopefully Nick will be able to give more details about this tragic event once he completes his reported stint in rehab.
Nick Gordon’s Intervention: He Believes If Bobbi Kristina Brown Dies, It’s His Fault
During the interview, Nick broke down and sobbed, admitting that he feels extremely guilty about what happened to Bobbi Kristina. He even said that if she dies, he will feel like it was all his fault!
During the painful breakdown, Nick’s mother said that her son saw himself as Bobbi’s protector. “He says that if Krissie dies, it’s going to be his fault because she should have survived due to his CPR,” she explained.
After Dr. Phil pushed Nick to own up to his alleged drug and alcohol abuse issues, Nick finally agreed to go to rehab at the end of the interview. He reportedly checked himself into a facility on March 6.
