Our hearts just stopped. On the new episode of ‘Glee,’ Jesse St. James has returned — and he and Rachel are singing a love song! Listen to it right now (whenever you start breathing again)!
Glee must be trying to kill us before it goes off the air. On the Mar. 13 episode, Rachel (Lea Michele) and Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) are together again (!!!) and they are totally serenading one another! Yup, the former lovers take on the heart wrenching “Listen to Your Heart”– we know, dead– and you can hear it before the episode even airs!
‘Glee’: Rachel & Jesse St. James Duet
There were clues that he would be back but now we have proof: Jesse St. James and Rachel are reigniting the flame!
Well, the duet they’re singing together makes us think they are, at least! I mean really, “Listen to Your Heart,” by Roxette, says it all: “Listen to your heart, when he’s calling for you/Listen to your heart, there’s nothing else you can do.”
I have literally said those words, out loud, when watching episodes of Glee, guiding Rachel’s love life through the television screen.
Regardless of whether they get back together though, we are just so happy to see Jonathan return to Glee before the series says good bye forever (now just get Idina Menzel to come back and we’ll never ask for anything ever again).
Listen To Your Heart, Rachel
The whole “listen to your heart” message may apply to more than just Rachel’s love life in the upcoming episode, though. Called “We Built This Glee Club,” she is going to have to make a major decision about her future.
Jesse’s return presents Rachel with the opportunity to star in a musical on Broadway with him. However, now she must choose between returning to NYADA. or getting another shot at Broadway stardom.
The episode will also show the New Directions and the Warblers squaring off with each other at sectionals. Along with Jesse and Rachel’s duet, it will feature covers of “Chandelier” by Sia and “Take Me to Church” by Hozier.
Are you excited that Jesse is back? What do you think of he and Rachel’s duet?
