So very sad. Windell D. Middlebrooks, best known for his work in the Miller High Life Commercials and on ‘Parks & Recreation’ was found dead on Mar. 9. He was just 36 years old.
What a devastating loss. Windell D. Middlebrooks, who has appeared on countless television shows including Parks and Recreation, Cougar Town and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, died on Mar. 9. After being found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home, Windell was transferred to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Windell D. Middlebrooks Dead: Miller High Life Guy Dies At 36
This is truly awful.
Windell, who gained global recognition for his role in the Miller High Life commercials as the “Miller High Life Delivery Guy,” had his whole life ahead of him. Along with his involvement on the aforementioned series, he was also a series regular on the ABC drama, Body of Proof.
While no official cause of death has been announced, foul play is not suspected to have played a role.
Originally from Texas, Windell attended Sterling College and then went on to receive an MFA from the University of California, Irvine for acting. He got his professional start acting on Disney channel shows including The Suite Life on Deck and Hannah Montana.
A Tragic Coincidence
Unfortunately, Windell’s death follows another untimely passing close to Parks and Recreation. Just last month, Harris Wittels, a series producer, writer and occasional actor on the comedy, was also found dead in his home. Harris, who was just 30, died of a suspected drug overdose, though no official cause of death has been released.
The night that Harris died, series star and producer Amy Poehler was being honored by Variety in Los Angeles. Expected to give a speech, Amy honored her late friend. “Today, I lost a friend. I’m sharing it with you because life and death live so close together, and we walk that fine line every day.”
That certainly applies here for Windell, as well. Our thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.
